Pet Doula Services 

Animals are amazing. They provide us with unwavering comfort, support, and love - and simply ask for the occasional treat and scratch behind the ears in return. I understand that the loss of a beloved pet can be a deeply emotional and challenging experience. That is why I have decided to provide compassionate and personalized support to pet owners during this difficult time, offering a range of services to help ease your loss - and hopefully honour the bond between you and your companion.

1.     Consultation and Planning: support in seeking expert vet advice, in making end-of-life decisions for your pet, including exploring options such as palliative care, euthanasia, and aftercare arrangements. I am not a vet - and do not replace the amazing, expert work they do. I can assist with phone calls and support - but I leave the medical advice to the professionals and support you non medically. 

2.     Emotional Support: providing a compassionate presence and active listening to provide a safe space for you to express your feelings, fears, and concerns about saying goodbye to your pet.

3.     Assistance with Euthanasia: I can accompany you during the euthanasia process, providing emotional support and comfort as needed, ensuring that you and your pet feel supported and cared for throughout the procedure.

4.     Creating a Comforting Environment: I can assist in creating a peaceful and comfortable environment for their final moments - in consultation with vet experts, whether at home or at the veterinary clinic.

5.     Legacy Building: I can help you capture and preserve precious memories of your pet through activities such as creating paw prints, keepsake items, and memory boxes.

6.     Celebration of Life / Funeral Celebrant Services: I offer personalized ceremonies and rituals to honour and celebrate the life of your pet, providing a meaningful way to say goodbye and commemorate the bond you shared.

7.     Collection and Return of Ashes: I can arrange for the collection of your pet's ashes from the veterinary clinic and bring them back to your home, providing closure and comfort during this difficult time.

Fee: pet end of life doula services are available at a rate of $75 per hour - for any, all, or any other services agreed on.
